Happy 3 Months

Wait, I can't crawl yet. Oh well. I'll just roll over and hope he can save himself.

Another Visitor

Susan Woodard came for a visit this weekend to see our new house and get some quality time with Mia. Mia had so much fun, that Mom and Dad even got to sneak in a trip to the gym.

Shhh... Don't tell Mom and Dad

Reports are in that Mia rolls from her back to her front at daycare. She has yet to show anyone else this wonderful skill. Toy enticement has not worked yet, but we'll see what we can do to convince her.

Mia's First Day at Daycare

Today is Mia's first day at daycare. Daddy is dropping her off this morning. Mommy will pick her up this afternoon. Today and tomorrow are only 1/2 days, but she will be with Ms. Pat all day starting on Wednesday.

Success on Video

It is definitely not an accident. Mia can roll over at will. It only took about 5 rolls before we finally caught it on video.

We're pretty sure Mia's previous experience of rolling over was an accident on her part, but today she did it again! Way to go, Mia!

Mia and Tyler

Wednesday evening, Mia had a play date with her friend Tyler. (OK, really, the parents had a nice dinner together.) Tyler was born on August 22nd to Chris and Erica Plath. Even though Tyler is only 3 weeks old (8 weeks younger than Mia), they actually weigh the same and are the same length. At Tyler's check-up that day, he was 10lbs 11 oz and 22" long. (Mia was 10lbs 13 oz and 22 1/4" long last Friday.)

Planting a Tree

Rob planted an American Elm in our front yard this weekend.

2 Month Check-Up

Mia had her 2 month check-up today. She is officially 10lbs 13oz and 22 1/4" long. She was very brave during her shots and only cried a little.


By the time we got home, she was smiling again and showing off the two band-aids on each leg.

Making Things Happen

Mia has really started to play with her toys. Today, she decided that Mr. Monkey really needed to meet Mr. Firefly and she tried to yank Mr. Monkey's arm over to shake hands.






She's also holding her head up higher and much longer.

Jarrod and Katie's Wedding

This past weekend, we went to Hanover, NH and Woodstock, VT for the wedding of Jarrod Boland and Katie Greer.

Mia went on a hike down to Quechee Gorge.




It was Mia's first visit to Dartmouth and got a chance to see the campus.




She enjoyed the speeches at the reception and even tried to add her own thoughts during one, but she liked the dancing the best.
As she's already learned how to flirt with her beautiful toothless smile, she was a hit with all the guys!




Though, we may have to make sure those Dartmouth boys don't rub off too much on her...

Bath Time

Mia is really enjoying her baths now. She likes playing with her squeaky rubber ducks and having her hair washed.

Meeting Grammie

Mia meets her Great Grandmother "Grammie" (her dad's dad's mom).
