2 Month Check-Up

Mia had her 2 month check-up today. She is officially 10lbs 13oz and 22 1/4" long. She was very brave during her shots and only cried a little.

By the time we got home, she was smiling again and showing off the two band-aids on each leg.

Making Things Happen

Mia has really started to play with her toys. Today, she decided that Mr. Monkey really needed to meet Mr. Firefly and she tried to yank Mr. Monkey's arm over to shake hands.

She's also holding her head up higher and much longer.

Jarrod and Katie's Wedding

This past weekend, we went to Hanover, NH and Woodstock, VT for the wedding of Jarrod Boland and Katie Greer.

Mia went on a hike down to Quechee Gorge.

It was Mia's first visit to Dartmouth and got a chance to see the campus.

She enjoyed the speeches at the reception and even tried to add her own thoughts during one, but she liked the dancing the best.
As she's already learned how to flirt with her beautiful toothless smile, she was a hit with all the guys!

Though, we may have to make sure those Dartmouth boys don't rub off too much on her...

Bath Time

Mia is really enjoying her baths now. She likes playing with her squeaky rubber ducks and having her hair washed.

Meeting Grammie

Mia meets her Great Grandmother "Grammie" (her dad's dad's mom).

More Family Reunion Pictures

Just in case you didn't get enough pictures of the greater Wilson family, we thought you might want to see all the people who wanted to hold Mia during the trip.

All the Wilson Family Reunion Attendees
Most of the Great Grandchildren (14 total with 2 more on the way)

Mia's Grandma, Her 9 Siblings (Mia's Great Aunt and Uncles), Parents (Mia's Great Grandparents), and Aunt (Mia's Great, Great Aunt)

Mia seems to be handling it all well
But, will hold on tight to Grandma's hands just to be safe.

Week at the River

We just got back from a week in T.I. Park (on Wellesley Island in the St Lawrence River - http://www.wellesley-hotel.com/tour_of_ti_park/). We had a lovely vacation and rounded out the week with the Wilson Family Reunion (Mara's Mom's family). Despite so many of the pictures of Mia asleep, she is very alert and playful now. She wakes up smiling in the morning, but as the pictures show, she likes to sleep like her dad.

Welcome to the River

Mia gets into her life jacket for her first boat ride.

As any good River Rat baby will do, Mia is lulled to sleep on the boat.

But she's not too pleased to have to wear her sun hat.
Family friends come to visit and Mia gets babysat by Mara's previous babysittees.
Mia meets her Great Grandma and Great Grandpa for the first time.

And gets to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa, who she hasn't seen since she was 1 wk old.

She enjoys hanging out on the porch with the family.

Mia gets her first dip in the St. Lawrence River, but finds it to be a little cold for her liking...

Mia gets to hang out with Aunt Kate
And cousins Gaelyn and Ember
The stroller parade down to the Cove to swim
But Mia decided to let Matty and Ella swim while she slept.
Yes, Mia's sleeping again. Sleeping seems to be one of the only times her parents have time to get the camera.
More time with Aunt Kate during the family reunion.
Good-bye River! See you next summer.

Trip to the National Zoo

Mia's found an animal that is smaller than she is!! After seeing the baby elephant, she wasn't so sure there were many.

The orangutan slipped right behind the post.
Yay! Baby Panda!!
Mia's hanging out in the stroller watching the animals.
